Georgetown Frame Shoppe is an owner-run and -operated small business  We keep our overhead costs low for our lovely yet modest store front in a privately owned building in historic Georgetown, D.C.  Many art galleries in New York, California, Hawaii, London, Paris and Munich are gorgeous and spacious.  However, the price of the art they sell reflects their high rents and operating costs.  

We pride ourselves on acquiring and selling fine art at exceptional values. We work on small margins and do not inflate prices with sales commissions.  Unlike other galleries, we do not "mark up to mark down".  We don't have "50% off" sales because we offer great deals everyday.

Our twenty-plus years of experience have given us access to private collections around the world and our selective focus and extensive experience allows us a great level of expertise.  We are passionate about the works of art we sell, and the histories, techniques, and stories behind them.

We believe in open, honest relationships with our clients and practice a policy of full disclosure. We personally authenticate all of our artwork and stand behind every piece we sell.  The certificates of authenticity that we issue with every art purchase guarantee authenticity and contain detailed information about the artwork such as the medium, printer, publisher, and edition size.  If possible, we also provide our clients with copies of relevant pages from an artist's catalogue raisonne referencing a particular work. We want our clients to know exactly what they are buying.
