Washington D.C., we are a full service art gallery. We specialize in in-house
custom picture framing, professional art installation, and also provide
art restoration. At Georgetown Frame Shoppe we make it our policy to handle
all works of art with the utmost care and respect.

We buy and sell original signed works on paper by modern
masters and contemporary artists such as Pablo Picasso, Pierre Auguste
Renoir, Henri Matisse, Joan Miro, Marc Chagall, Roy Lichtenstein, Alexander
Calder, Jim Dine, Georges Braque, and Andy Warhol to name a few. If you

Peter Bortz
Gallery Owner
Peter Bortz opened Georgetown Frame Shoppe in 1989 after receiving a BA in
economics at the University of Maryland in 1986. As he had always had a great
appreciation for and interest in art, it came naturally for him to combine
his keen sense of the art market and its direction with his ability to find
beautiful original works of art. Since Peter Bortz opened Georgetown Frame
Shoppe in 1989, the company has evolved to not only encompass the wacky and
fun world of rare vintage animation art and custom picture framing, but to
house a miraculous body of modern and contemporary prints from around the
world. As gallery owner, Peter Bortz is involved in the daily operation of
the gallery to ensure its high level of customer service as well as traveling
extensively to meet with some of the most well known and reputable art dealers
and auction house personnel to source artwork at a good value so he can offer
it to you, our clients, at the best price. Through Peter Bortz's insight and
passion, Georgetown Frame Shoppe now also provides professional art restoration
and art installation services. Georgetown Frame Shoppe also has an EBay store
with fantastic deals. Creating a gallery that is trustworthy, reliable, and
exciting to visit has been the focus of his energy since he began. Georgetown
Frame Shoppe is always a work in progress, with more room to grow and become
the kind of gallery that fulfills all its clients' needs.

Web Site and Marketing Specialist
Jessica Mensch joined Georgetown Frame Shoppe in 2004. With her degree in
Fine Arts and extensive gallery experience, her participation at the gallery
seemed necessary from the start. Working closely with Peter Bortz, she has
concentrated on developing the Georgetown Frame Shoppe's virtual representation.
In view of the expanding role of the internet in today's society, Jessica
Mensch believes that taking part in this phenomenon is a must for any gallery
wanting to be involved in the flourishing modern and contemporary art market.
