Original Hand Signed Pablo Picasso Linocuts

This original linocut, entitled Exhibition Vallauris 1960, was created by Pablo Picasso in 1960. Hidalgo Arnera printed the linocut using a single block with black and mauve pigments.  The linocut is hand signed in pencil by Picasso.   Exhibition Vallauris 1960 was published by Arnera, Vallauris in an edition of 170.  It measures 30" x 25" unframed and 42" x 37" framed. Picasso moved to the commune of Vallauris in the 1950’s to work on the famous Vallauris Chapel. However, he became quite fond of and inspired by the seaside village and lived there for a decade.  During that time, which is recalled by many as the 20th century renaissance of art during the post-war years, he worked closely with local printer Hidalgo Arnera.

Original Andy Warhol Hand Signed Screenprints

This fantastic screenprint, entitled Van Heusen (Ronald Reagan), was created by Andy Warhol in 1985 as part of the portfolio Ads.   Warhol drew inspiration from this ad for Van Huesen, a dress shirt company for which former President Ronald Regan modeled in the 1950s and 60s.  This original Warhol screenprint was printed by Rupert Jasen Smith on Lenox Museum Board and published by Ronald Feldman Fine Arts, Inc., New York in 1985. It is from an edition of 190. This screenprint is hand signed in pencil by Andy Warhol. Ads, a  portfolio of ten screenprints which Warhol created in 1985, incorporates popular images of products and celebrities and plays with themes of glamour, childhood, fame, and identity.  It was one of Andy Warhol’s last creations before his death in 1987 and is a perfect example of the eccentric pop artist’s fascination with consumerism.  Please call for value.

We also have several other Original Andy Warhol Screenprints for sale, including Warhol's Cowboys and Indians portfolio from 1986. These iconic prints illuminate America's glorification of the West and its various heroes, including Annie Oakley, Geronimo, and General Custer.

Hand Signed Marc Chagall
Lithographs

Marc Chagall, who was avid admirer of Mozart and his work, created the elaborate sets and costumes for the staging of La flûte enchantée (The Magic Flute) at the Metropolitan Opera House in 1967.  Chagall said of his own work, “I sought content in bright colours, innocent of the world’s tumult, so that art could come again into paradise, just as it does in the overture to Mozart’s The Magic Flute.”  This beautiful, original lithograph by Marc Chagall, entitled Magic Flute III, pays homage to Mozart's melodic symphony.  The rich array of blues, greens and yellows in this lithograph bring the magical animal kingdom to life.

The Magic Flute III was printed by Charles Sorlier in a small edition of 50 on Arches wove paper and published by Mourlot in 1973. It is hand signed by Marc Chagall in pencil and numbered 8 out of 5. It measures approximately 23" x 18" unframed and 31" x 26" framed.
