Joan Miro's famous Constellations portfolio contains twenty-two spectacular pochoirs. This collection was printed by Daniel Jacomet in 1959 after a series of gouaches that Miro created during the early days of the Second World War. Accompanied by the haunting prose poems which Andre Breton had composed for the original paintings, Constellations was published as a complete portfolio in 1959. Full of the unruly lines and bright colors that defined Miro's aesthetic, Constellations has become one of the artist's most recognized and desirable collections.
Each pochoir measures approximately 17 by 14 inches unframed.
The suite, which also includes a hand signed and numbered original lithograph, was published in a loose folio with cover and beige linen case.
We currently have numerous Constellations pochoirs for sale, as well as the gorgeous complete Constellations portfolio.
