Georgetown Frame Shoppe recently acquired this fantastic original

hair are distinctly femine, but her decoration of medals earned through
expertize and the clarity of her steady westward gaze are decidedly fierce.

Gaultney, Klineman Art, Inc. in New York in 1986. It is printed on Lenox
Museum Board and measures 36" x 36". It is hand signed in pencil
in the lower left corner, and numbered 56 from an edition of 250. Georgetown

Joan Miro (1893-1983) ranks among the most important artists of the 20th
century. An inventive and imaginative painter, sculptor, ceramicist and
printmaker, Miro changed forever the course of modern art. Although Miro
derived his own visual vocabulary from nature, Miro's artworks are frequently
viewed as interesting abstract compositions, an effect that is enhanced
by his vivid palette. More than any of his contemporaries, Miros
iconography forms a bridge between figurative and abstract imagery, and
had a profound influence on succeeding generations of artists.
Pictured above is a fantastic lithograph by Joan Miro. It is printed
on cloth pasted against Mandeure chiffon and was published by Maeght in
1969. Titled Literate Man (Red), it measures 48" x 39"
framed . It is number 30 from an edition of 75, and is hand signed by
Miro in pencil in the bottom right corner. Literate Man (Red) is
